Last weekend marked the final provincial middle-distance race for the province of Limburg. Nearly 3,000 young birds competed, and both gold and silver went to the top-class loft of Kenny Raets from Vliermaal, who manages the colony together with his father and brother.

They had already come very close to a provincial victory in recent weeks, securing multiple top finishes. The lineage of "Golden Janneke"—winner of 1st National Ace Pigeon Middle Distance KBDB 2025—frequently appears in their pedigrees.
