Hermans – Bonne from Loksbergen win 1st Provincial Bourges 1,130 yearlings

For the tandem Hermans – Bonne, 2023 has already started well in the national races, they also won a region once this year in preparation, but now it was completely hit on Bourges. Their yearling “Mathieu” was the best in Limburg among the yearlings against 1,130 pigeons. Bourges is exactly his flight because last year he was also early on this, himself a medium cock in terms of build but without much weight. This clapper is again a grandson of their foundatione breeder Hollander, this breeding line continues to do very well year after year.

This year for the first time with hens and widowers
For the first time this season, hens are also raced, both sexes have a partner who stays at home and do not hear each other. The widowers are upstairs with Roger and the hens are in the garden with Wim. The widowers simply breed an early round of youngsters in January. The hens did not breed and did not know any cocks before their first flight, after that they spent 4 days with a cock in groups every week, but most cocks here have 2 hens.
After breeding, the daily training sessions are started, the widowers always train once a day in the evening. From May they then switch to 2x a day, while the hens keep on this schedule of 1x a day because of too little time.
Both groups were darkened from the beginning of March to the beginning of May, everything here depends on the important races of the middle distance and longer middle distance.

Care
In terms of nutrition, the mixtures of Anthoons and Versele-Laga are used here. In the preparation ( March ) it is mainly Super Recup Anthoons that they get. Now in the season they feed up to basketing with Sport Subliem Versele – Laga. As extras they get peanuts and P40 grain. The widowers are each fed individually because different races are played.
The additional products that are given are Konditiepowder and CMB from Herbovet, Hexenbier, Atemfrei, Jungtierpulver , BT-Amin Forte from Röhnfried. The medical supervision here is supervised by Raf Herbots.
