France Masters 2025 - Fédération française
18 Jan 2025
Go head-to-head with the world's best!
After Mira and Portugal, France will be hosting the 2025 World Pigeon Fanciers' Championships. A Grand Prix, open to all, is also being organised, with €40,000 in prize money.
Since autumn 2023, the French pigeon racing federation has been based in Festubert, in northern France, thirty minutes from Lille and two hours from Paris and Brussels. In the countryside, within the walls of an old farmhouse, the French Pigeon Fanciers' Federation has designed a veritable “house of pigeon fanciers”. What's it for? To house the administrative services of the national and regional federations, but above all a specialist pigeon shop, a museum dedicated to the history of the carrier pigeon, a specialist veterinary practice and a loft with a capacity of 1,500 birds to host ‘one loft races’, the France Masters, a carrier pigeon race in which enthusiasts from all over the world compete.
The first France Masters was held in 2024. The competition is held in three rounds: a first contest starting in Orléans (300 km), a second from Bourges (386 km) before a final released in Argenton (450 km). A thousand spectators attended the final on 15 August 2024, won by Vincent Thiriau (France) ahead of Belgium's Brent Lambrechts.
Building on its success in 2024, the France Masters will join the prestigious FCI Grand Prix circuit in 2025 and will be entrusted with organising the world championships: a great accolade for the team at the French pigeon racing federation! Any fancier can register to come and challenge the world's best amateurs from every continent.
Once again, the France Masters will be supported by Versele Laga, Benzing, Geraldy and Original Process. The colony will be monitored by vet Nicolas Schoonheere.
The France Masters offers an original format and aims for excellence. Entries are limited to two pigeons per person at a cost of €250. Entries can be made online. Pigeons are accepted in March and must be at least 40 days old.
