The combination Martens & Son exists already since the sixties, then it was Bert who raced together with his father Harrie. Then Roger was born and took over from his grandfather in 1989 when he passed away. For this colony the only thing that counts is racing pigeons on races from short distance to long distance (+-650km). Especially the NPO races get priority and where they achieve the biggest wins and off course their unique stunt from 2018 namely the 1st and 2nd National Chateauroux against 27,656 pigeons and this with 2 nest brothers is one that will never be forgotten. That same super season 2018 they also won the ‘Gouden Duif’ competition in Holland against all the best lofts on national level.
