Dear Dirk, Jacques and family,

I skipped a heartbeat when Miet told me the sad news this morning. I was feeling sick for a minute and was stunned. Dirk spoke to us about mama only a few days ago, about how it went up and down but that she always got the strength to fight back. Then so sudden, having to give away such a sweet mother unexpectedly must hurt very bad. We will always remember Annie as a caring mother, the mother hen that took care of her goslings as no other ! She was always ready waiting with sandwiches when you came for a visit, a cup of coffee, some tea, a coke, nothing was too much…She spent her entire live in taking care of others but lately she needed help herself, unfortunately she lost this unfair battle way too soon.

Hopefully you find the courage with each other to take care of father and especially take care of each other.
