Didier and Michel Desbuquois, following in the footsteps of their late father Fernand, have successfully taken over the reins of both business and pigeon racing. In pigeon racing, their passion was competing in Barcelona... even playing a leading role... and winning whenever possible. Their dream came true in 2006 when they achieved a national victory in Barcelona with "Roger Barcelona" against 11,802 pigeons.
But the years are also starting to take their toll on the Desbuquois brothers. The combination of running a busy window and door business and managing a large colony demands too much energy. Therefore, they decided to take a different approach to pigeon racing and, instead of racing the entire program, focus on a few long distance races and ofcourse Barcelona International.
The colony was thoroughly combed and selected to the bare minimum, and selected a top group of long-distance pigeons will be included in a unique online auction.
The whole Herbots team is very impressed about the quality of these pigeons
