Erik Limbourg from Brussegem wins 1st Provincial Barcelona 905 old birds

We already said it a few weeks ago, Erik Limbourg's racing team is on a roll. When Barcelona arrives you know that Erik will participate with a few pigeons, this year there were 2 and that they have the qualities to fly to the top. He has proven it several times in the past that he has taken the lead several times with “Barcelona Triple 5” and “Kleine Barcelona”. Now in the 2023 season it is again hit with his new topper, "092/20" is again a descendant of the "Remy" where Erik has succeeded so well. This clapper now wins 1st Provincial Barcelona 905 old birds and wins 14th National against 6,533 pigeons.

The preparation of this clapper is a special story, the pigeons do not know peace at the Limbourg house and he seriously puts them on the grid before they earn their place for next year.

This winner ended up in a loft in 2021 with 12 widowers especially for the extreme long distance. At the end of the season there were 2 left, including this winner. He raced from Agen per 10 and Narbonne right in the head. The following year, as a 2-year-old, he mainly raced Limoges and Cahors, but also came home very early a day later in preparation. The signal to perhaps keep him for Barcelona. This season he flew Vierzon again and was not home in the evening. But at 5.50 am the next morning he was already present, pigeons that have the character to leave early the next morning. After that he flew Limoges and Cahors 2 x per 10 and now this performance from Barcelona to reach his home base in Brussegem at 6h39.

The widowers here are simply raced in classic widowhood, but towards a special race Erik will always give extra motivation to the pigeons that have to go. This can be anything, opening an extra box, straw in the loft, a change in the loft or an extra hen.
