The Late Willy Vermeulen (Bambrugge)

In this hall sale, the colony of the late Willy Vermeulen from Bambrugge comes under the hammer. Unfortunately, Willy had to leave his top season due to health problems. All racers and breeders, together with some young pigeons, will be sold on December 10 in his club where he races.

Willy mainly focused on the middle distance races with his widowers and young pigeons were less important to him. He sporadically went to the longer middle distance with some pigeons, but that was more than anything. The pigeons he purchased in recent years were from several top colonies in Belgium and the Netherlands. He didn't brag about this, but the quality was there. The basis here starts with a few pigeons from Hugo Vlaeminck and Saban Saatdüzen (line “Simsek” 1st National Bourges). Afterwards, several pigeons from Gaby Vandenabeele were purchased at Gaby's total sale and they did fantastic here. Especially “BE 18-3130835” New Bliksem ( Zoon New Bliksem ) was a bull's-eye when paired to a hen from Ken Easly & Zoon. This couple produced several top pigeons in this colony in the 1st and 2nd generations. In addition, 2 grandchildren of “Chipo” from Benny Steveninck came to Bambrugge, which are still very rare and where “Daughter Rooney” BE 18-4149721 in particular is a real top breeder.

The last investments were pigeons from Gevaert – Lannoo and one from Willem De Bruijn. The latter is a beautiful cock from 2022 that still has to show his talent.
