Herbots Kobe & Kato (Velm) When class is being combined with beauty

To shine with young pigeons year after year from short distance to the national races, not many can do that. A colony that does meet this is Kobe & Kato Herbots from Velm. This colony that is run by father Raf Herbots and his son Kobe (who is studying to be a veterinarian as well at the University of Gent) together with care taker Jozef Reynaerts. In 2013 they made the decision to race only young birds and this from the short distance races until the national races to win first prizes. That they succeed more than well is known by now and it can be emphasized as well, also this year they excelled !

The strength is on the breeding loft. 

You wouldn’t expect it but the breeding loft exists out of only 12 breeding couples. This is the result of a very strong selection as despite the fact that they search for reinforcement yearly, the new ones don’t get a lot of time to proof their quality as a breeder. 

The real beating heart of this breeding loft exists out of the strains from national winner and base breeder “F16” (Van Oeckel Bart & Nance) crossed in with “Black Buvie” (Buvens-Sleven)

In Velm you can find no less than 3 direct children ‘F16’ on the breeding loft. Out of the coupling “F16-Grizzle” (a direct son “F16”) x “5025714-13” (a daughter out of super couple Buvens) you have 3 sons on the breeding loft.  
A first son is “2059971-17” who is coupled to “super F16” (a daughter “F16” x “Super One”, best young pigeon 2013 and 4th national ace bird “ace of ace LCB”.)

A second son “2059994-17” is coupled to “6059309-15” (a daughter “F16” coupled to the 6th national ace bird KBDB 2014 , and also 1st national ace bird “as des as LCB” 2014 (strain Schepmans Erwin)

The 3rd son is “2121390-19” who is coupled to “Lady Grizzle”, a daughter “F16 grizzle”  x “Super Three” (won 1st National Ace bird “as des as 2017” and 1st provincial ace bird long distance KBDB and is a daughter to “Gaston Jr”.)

When you pop the question why these sons got directly a box on the breeding loft, well this year a daughter out of “F16-Grizzle” x “Black Buvie” was raced and shined at Vandenabbeel-Van Paesschen with 1st Sermaises 3,625b., 2nd Orleans 158b., 26th prov. Orleans 3,870b., 48th Chateauroux 3,525b. (for your info; this classful hen is for sale at the moment in the auction PB Herbots Kobe & Kato) .  And the past years it was also already a hit in the rose with children out of these classful breeders. A few examples: 

“Fays Buvy 19”: won 1st Fays-Aux-Loges 280b. – 4th interprov. 2,864b. – 6th Toury 673b. – and so on...
“Buvy 906”: 1st Chateauroux 316b. – 49th National against 12,125b.
“Toury Buvy 19”: 1st Toury 673b.

This says more than enough!

Another breeding phenomenon is “De Geoff”, he is father to “Manuela”: 1st  best European ace bird 2019 Belgium and 1st provincial ace bird all round 2018 . 
When “De Geoff” was coupled against “Super 717” (original Schroyen-Hendrix) he became father to “Super Geoff” and then we talk about the 6th national ace bird KBDB national races youngsters. 
“De Geoff” is a son to the 6th national Bourges against 36,307 young birds and is an original Erwin Schepmans pigeon coupled to again the “Super F16 “. 

A few valuable breeders are “2289420-16”, a grandson “Kaasboer” (Van de Wouwer) coupled to “2010452-16” winner of 5x 1st prize and a daughter to “Super Two” (5th national ace bird KBDB 2015 -  3rd national Argenton 11,215b.)

And what do you think about “5044229-17”, a son to the 5th Olympiad bird 2016 All-round (original Ceyssens Louis.)

Another fixed value on the breeding loft is “1126541-17”… direct child to the breeding couple from Denis Sapin namely “Robert” x “Steffi”

That Raf has an eye for class proofs the purchase of “Super 717” at Schroyen Henderix .  “Super 717” is mother to the 9th national ace bird short distance yearling KBDB 2019 and in Velm mother to “Super Geoff” (6th Nat. ace bird KBDB national races youngsters) when she was coupled to “De Geoff”.
