Albert & Francine, Francine & Albert, since 50 years a two-unity, impossible to image pigeon sport without them, not only by their fantastic results which they hit us around our ears with over the years but also due to their kindness, openness, … when I start thinking about it, I haven’t seen Albert in all these years without a smile, always in for a joke, first class humor….but when he started talking about the pigeons it could be a bit more serious. Albert, the pigeon fancier, Francine, the woman behind the man who speaks 4 languages and could handle things really well on an administrative and commercial level…a top pigeon couple that has everything in house to make it to the top and that’s exactly what they did and remain standing at the top!

‘Paulien’, ‘De Zoon’, ‘Invictus’, ‘Valentino’,…a few famous names that all belong to the Derwa strain !

I won’t be introducing the above pigeons anymore, everybody knows them and what they’ve done. From super racers to super breeders that still until the day of today give a lot of successes on their own loft as on other lofts. These are still the base at the breeding loft from Albert nevertheless he likes to introduce some new blood once in a while. This is how he got the opportunity to co-breed with Jan Hooymans. Jan liked ‘Paulien’ so much and asked if she could be coupled to his ‘Harry’ and this is what happened. Also the worldfamous ‘Geeloger’ from Koen Minderhout came by and that’s why you can find some ‘Harry’ and ‘Geeloger’ representatives on the loft in Herent and this isn’t without success! One of the latest success numbers is out of a ‘Son Geeloger’ x ‘Daughter Harry’ accomplished with some Derwa blood and is called ‘Davinia’ (BE18-2093024) who has since last season the title of
2nd National Ace bird Greater Middle Distance KBDB old 2020.

Not only the Hooymans pigeons or the Minderhout pigeons set super results in Herent. We have a few other examples such as ‘Mon Ami’ BE16-2060047.

He is the result of a combination of a hen from John & Jan Baeck coupled to a cock from Jan Hooymans. And with this coupling Albert breeds the top pigeon ‘Mon Ami’ and wins underneath results :
