KASSEL 1997
De naam Herbots – Heller werd op 1 januari 1998 boven de doopvont gehouden. Het was Filip Herbots die tijdens de gekende duivenbeurs te Kassel Ewald en Elvira Heller even op de koffie riep en zijn plannen om een fondkolonie in Duitsland op te richten uit de doeken deed. Ewald en Elvira luisterden met veel interesse en toen twee dagen later de beurs ten einde was, was de deal tussen Filip en de familie Heller een feit. Grote fond was de uitdaging en de internationale vluchten werden in fluor op de vluchtkalender aangeduid. We hebben het al meermaals geschreven grote fond vraagt grote fondduiven en de basis van de Herbots-Heller kolonie werd gebouwd met het sublieme Jan Aarden en het uitmuntende Jan Van Wanroy ras. In de loop der jaren werd dit ras zowel bij Nederlandse, Belgische als Duitse liefhebbers gehaald. Filip Herbots zag het enthousiasme bij zijn Duitse vrienden en zag dat het allemaal goed zou komen.
TOTAAL WEDUWSCHAP
Het seizoen 2009 werd met een groep van 50 duivers en 50 duivinnen gestart. Daarnaast zitten er te ZweibrĂĽcken eveneens 25 kweekkoppels en doorkruisen een 100 jongen de Duitse hemel. De vliegduiven worden niet in nestpositie maar volgens het systeem van totaal weduwschap gespeeld. Hierdoor kan er een betere selectie zowel bij de duivers als bij de duivinnen gebeuren.
Als voorbereiding worden de vliegduiven in Maart gekoppeld en als alle duiven met eieren zitten worden deze weg genomen en is het totaal weduwschap een feit. Tweemaal daags mogen zowel duivers als duivinnen trainen en voor de rest dienen er veel kilometers afgehaspeld te worden via de verschillende trainingsvluchten. Als er een optelsommetje van de voorbereidende vluchten gemaakt wordt komt men al aan 3000km uit. Toen ging het richting Bordeaux en dan richting Tarbes. Aan de uitslag van de Bordeauxvlucht zag men al dat het met de conditie snor zat want ondanks de prijzen per viertal verdeeld worden werd er een prijzenpercentage van 50% behaald.
ZweibrĂĽcken : Tarbes : the replacer of Dax international has been after Pau, Barcelona and Soustons the 4e confrontation on international level.
From Pau, the international victory went to Germany, Barcelona was for the Netherlands and for Soustons, the Belgiums may rejoice.
France stayed behind, but maybe the East side of “ la douce France “ could make the victory on Tarbes, but this was not count on the strong fond colony from Germany.
Especially the fondfanciers from the village ZweibrĂĽcken, didn't show any mercy with the competition, because they took over the whole stage. The top achievement or in other words the achievement looks like a dream, has been delivered by the well known Belgium-German combination Herbots-Heller, because the first place aswel as the second place has been taken by the Herbots family and the Heller family.
The third place was for Ernst Heike, also living in ZweibrĂĽcken, he has clocked just 1 minute after the arrival of the first pigeon of Filip, Ewald and Elvira Herbots-Heller.
KASSEL 1997
The name Herbots-Heller has been held on the baptismal font since 1 Januari 1998.
It was Filip Herbots, who invited Ewald and Elvira Heller, on the well known pigeon bourse in Kassel, on a coffee, to talk about his plans to start a fond colony in Germany.
Ewald and Elvira listen with very much interest, and when the bourse ended two days later, the deal between Filip and the family Heller was a fact.
Long distance was the chalenge, and the international races where marked in fluor on the race calender.
We have written it several times, long distance races demandes big long distance pigeons, and the foundation of the Herbots-Heller colony has been built by the elevated Jan Aarden and the excellent Jan Van Wanroy strain.
During the years, this strain came from the Netherlands, the Belgium and the German fanciers.
Filip saw the enthusiasm with his German friends, and knew that everything would be alright.
TOTAL WIDOWERSHIP
The season 2009 has been started with a group of 50 cocks and 50 hens.
Besides that, there are 25 breeding torques, and 100 youngsters who pass through the German heaven in ZweibrĂĽcen.
The race pigeons are raced with the system of total widowership and not in nestposition.
Through this, a better selection is possible, with the cocks aswel as with the hens.
As a preparation, the race pigeons are paired up in March, and when all the pigeons have eggs, these are taken away, and the total widowership is a fact.
Two times a day, the cocks aswel as the hens may train, and many kilometers are done through a lot of training races.
Whe the sum is made about all the trainings races, one comes to almost 3000 km.
Then it went direction Bordeaux and then dirction Tarbes.
From the result of the Bordeaux race, one could see that the condition was good, because the prices divided per four, a price percentage from 50% has been obtained.
PREPARATION TARBES
Between Bordeaux and Tarbes, nothing special has been done.
The pigeons trained two times a day, had a mixture of 3 different marks of pigeonfood on the menu, and got on a regular base the by-products of the Herbots Animal gamma, over the food or in the drinking pots.
Medical, all is in the hands of Raf Herbots, and on his advise, there will be cured or not.
Against trichomoniase, sometimes, something will be put in the drinking pots, but against ornithose, almost never is cured.
Ewald “ the fact, that we don't have to cure often against ornithose, is pure related to our lofts.
These are constructed above a construction of our house, or in other words, we have very dry lofts.
In combination with outputs that are direction East side, you know that you will have the sun from morning till evening on your lofts.
Sun brings warmth and closeless, and thereof the forme starts.”
And then the arrivals of Tarbes. Elvira “ never in our lives we are this much surprised as then.
We didn't expect the pigeons to come home yet, when two yearling pigeons took a dive to the pigeon loft.
Those hens are registered with 20 seconds difference, and they where the two only pigeons against the 12.805 competitors that did the cape crossing of 1300 m/m.
Beautiful result, that will stay with us for a long time.”
Passing indicated, with Herbots-Heller, it didn't stop with this one top pigeon, because at the 150e place international, we already could find there name for 7 times.
Summarized...one of the German top colonies on the international races, has won international Tarbes in a impressive way.
Class with a big K... no discussion possible !
