1e nationaal Argenton jaarse duiven
Snelste van 30.977 duiven
Leefdaal: Het was terug bingo in de dorpstraat te Leefdaal. Na het schitterende duivenseizoen 2008 waarbij de 1e, 6e en 9e nationale asduif zware halve fond en een olympiade duif gewonnen werd, denkt men soms dat het wel eens wat minder zou kunnen zijn. Maar dat is volledig buiten de kwaliteiten van Jos Deno en Jean D’Haeseleer gerekend. Samen met nog andere helpers wisten zij het seizoen 2009 opnieuw op een sublieme wijze in te zetten en wat sommige mensen die het kunnen weten reeds lichtjes voorspelden werd een feit. Een grote overwinning zou niet lang op zich laten wachten en deze grote overwinning bleek geen provinciale maar een nationale overwinning tegen meer dan 30.000 duiven te zijn. Met Argenton staat de teller van nationale overwinningen (voorlopig) op 3 . De teller van het aantal provinciale overwinningen is ondertussen tilt geslagen, het moet ergens rond de 80 stuks draaien. Nooit gezien en het zal gegarandeerd nog vele decennia duren wil er iemand van hetzelfde kaliber als Deno-Herbots opstaan.
De basis van de kolonie en de verzorging methode is al verscheidene malen uitgebreid beschreven en ik heb zo’n licht vermoeden dat we deze winterperiode hun werkwijze wel nog eens gedetailleerd uit de doeken zullen doen. Nu waren we er op bezoek om meer te weten te komen over dat zwart duivinnetje dat het hele Argenton deelnemers veld zijn staart liet zien. Een indrukwekkende prestatie ..dat moet meer dan zo maar een duivinnetje zijn.
TOTAAL WEDUWSCHAP
Voor het seizoen 2009 kwamen Jos en Jean met een mooie ploeg van zowel duivers als duivinnen voor de boeg. Deze werd samengesteld uit: 26 koppels voor het totale weduwschap, 20 duivers die op puur weduwschap gespeeld worden. Dit zijn vooral 2-jaarse duiven met fondambities. Ze vlogen dit seizoen al Brive en Cahors en nu gaan er een deel naar Limoges en Barcelona. Eveneens worden er 12 duivinnen op puur weduwschap gespeeld . Hierbij zitten enkele jaarse en ook deze duivinnen moeten het op de verdere drachten waar gaan maken.
Het duivinnetje dat de nationale overwinning opeiste maakt deel uit van het team dat op totaal weduwschap gespeeld wordt. Vroege winterkweek staat op het programma en eens de jongen gespeend zijn, is het weduwschap een feit. Van een 2e koppeling is er geen sprake. Tijdens de maand April worden de eerste vluchten afgewerkt en via 3 x snelheid (Momignies), 2 x halve fond (Toury) ging het naar Vierzon, Bourges, Issoudin, tweemaal Chateauroux, Montlucon en dan Argenton of met andere woorden wekelijks richting 500km vluchten.
Het systeem van totaal weduwschap is de eenvoud zelve. Het hok bestaat namelijk uit 2 delen. Een deel voor de duivinnen (soort volière) en een deel voor de weduwnaars. Tijdens de week zitten de duivers op kapelletjes voor hun gesloten bak. Tweemaal daags wordt er getraind en het mag gezegd worden de duiven, vooral de duivinnen, trainden tijdens de week zeer goed en met zeer goed wordt er een vol uur trainen bedoeld. Omdat de duiven zo goed trainden werden de doordeweekse leervluchten van het programma geschrapt. Andere jaren werden de duiven tijdens de week op een 60km opgelaten, maar toen trainden ze iets minder.

Leefdaal : Again it happened in the Dorpstraat at Leefdaal.
After a great pigeon season in 2008, where the 1e, 6e and 9e national as pigeon heavy middle distance and olympiade pigeon has been won, one can think that it will be less.
But this is not count on the qualities of Jos Deno and Jean D'Haeseleer.
Together with other helping hands , they had a great start of the season 2009, and what some people already could predict, became a fact.
A great victory would come soon, and this great victory appeared to be, not a provincial but a national victory, against more then 30.000 pigeons.
With Argenton, the national victories are ( for the moment ) on 3.
The meter of the provincial victories has been beaten tilt, it has to be around 80 pieces.
Never seen, and I will guarantee you, that it will take a while before another Deno – Herbots will rise.
The basic of the colony and the caring method, has already been written extensively several times, and I guess that this winter period, we will reveal there working process in detail.
We have visit them, to know more about the black hen, that showed the whole Argenton participators here tail.
A impressive achievement...that has to be more than just one hen.
TOTAL WIDOW NAARS SHIP
For the seaon 2009, Jos and Jean came ahead, with a great team of both cocks and hens.
These where compound of : 26 flocks for total widow naars ship, 20 cocks that are played on pure widow naars ship.
These are especially, 2 yearling pigeons with long distance ambitions.
They already flew Brive and Cahors , and now a part of them are going to Limoges and Barcelona.
At the same time, 12 hens are played on pure widow naars ship.
With this group, there are some yearlings, and also these hens have to make it on the further contracts.
The hen that made the national victory , is a part of a team, that has been played on total widow naars ship.
Early winter breeding is on the programme, and once the youngsters are weaned, the widow naars ship is a fact.
There is no talking of a second time pare up.
During the month of april, the first flights are finished and through 3 times speed ( Momignies ),
2 times middle distance ( Toury ), it went to Vierzon, Bourges, Issoudin, two times Chateroux,
Montlucon and then Argenton, or with other words, weekly direction 500 km flights.
The system of the total widow naars ship, is the simplicity itself.
The loft is seperated in two parts. One part for the hens ( like a aviary ), and one part for the widow naars.
During the week, the cocks are sitting on there chapels, before there closed boxes.
Training is two times a day, and it should be said that the pigeons, especially the hens, trained very good during the week, we mean by good training, one full hour.
Because of the good training of the pigeons, the by the week training flights are deleted from the programme.
Other years, the pigeons where released during the week on 60 km, but then they trained some less.
MOTIVATED WITHOUT KNOWING
You can say wathever you like, but every pigeon that makes a national victory, is in one or another way motivated special.
Also this wonderful dark hen , has found here motivation in the fact that she has not been seen here cock for a while.
We will explain.
As already told, the team that was played on total widow naars ship, flew the week before Argenton, the inter provincial flight from Montlucon.
The later national victory hen, won her price beautiful, but here cock made a grand failure.
More...it lasted untill tusday, before he came home.
Consequence... last week the national victory hen, has been alone in here box.
Nobody there to take care of her.
Big was the love, when on thursday with the basketing of Argenton, she could see her cock for 30 minutes.
The seeing of her partner, must have given her an extra boost, to make this great victory.
To give wekely pigeons on the 500 km flights, it takes a punctual and in detail caring.
For food, they work with mixtures of Koopman and Vandenabeele from Beyers.
The breeders become the Mariman mixtures.
For medical advice, all is asked to vet Raf Herbots and concrete, all 14 days the pigeons are treated agianst tricho, and when it is necessary, with disappointing performance, also antibiotics against ornithose will be put in the drinking pots.
But we would like to put the accent on this, everything is always done in consultation of vet Raf Herbots.
As by-products, the whole gamma of Herbots Animal Products are on the upper caste, and honestly, we have to mention, that the mixture of cheese, sheep fat and peanuts, are put on the food during the week.
