“ZOMERJONG” FROM EDDY & MAARTEN LEUTENEZ: BEST CAHORS RACER OF BELGIUM 2016-2017
Facts are facts and the Herbots ranking never lies… “Zomerjong” (B13-4288082 – auction number 3 in the current internet auction) is the best Cahors racer of Belgium of the last 2 racing seasons. A superb honor for a young top bird who classified himself also as 17th National ace KBDB All-round 2017
“TRAPKE” … 1st NATIONAL ACE… THE ONLY BIRD OF BELGIUM WHO SUCCEEDED TO WIN THE NEEDED 5 PRIZES TO WIN A VERY HARD ACE BIRD COMPETITION
Since this season there’s been a new type of ace pigeon born at the KBDB namely the All Round pigeon of the season. The definition of this ‘new ace bird’ competition is as follows:
All round is going to be won with the same pigeon over 5 races, classified per 10 and in choice of old or year bird either
- 1 race extreme long distance
- 2 races long distances
- 2 races greater middle distance
These pigeons are the pentathletes of the pigeon sport. Polyvalent and athletic on all distances, real musclemen. But the result is amazing. There is only one pigeon that got 5 prizes namely the year bird (BE16-4157845)’ Trapke’ (auction number 1 in the current auction) . From the 42 classified pigeons there is only one with 5 prizes and 41 with 4 prizes.
“Trapke” won his 5 prizes on following races whereby we also note the number of participating birds and the number of participating fanciers. When you analyse this… then you can only conclude that “Trapke” is really the best all-round bird of Belgium.
119 Argenton Nat. (z) 505km 6,628b. basketed by 752 fanciers
146 Chateauroux Nat. 477km 26,695b. basketed by 2,722 fanciers
153 Narbonne Nat. 867km 3,424b. basketed by 648 fanciers
486 Jarnac Nat. 640km 5,117b. basketed by 951 fanciers
758 Limoges Nat. 627km 10,554b. basketed by 1,458 fanciers
By the way… it is only the 2nd time in the history of Belgian pigeon sport that only 1 bird of whole Belgium could succeed to fulfill the necessary needed prizes to win a KBDB ace bird competition. That was in 2003 when “Patron” of living legend Marcel Aelbrecht won the KBDB ace bird Long Distance. “Patron” became a world-breeder, so who knows what nice future “Trapke” will bring by his new owner !
